The Macallan 12 year Sherry Oak scotch is the second of our Macallan scotch flight.  The Macallan 12 Sherry Oak scotch is a refreshing scotch typically retailing around – for a 750ml and sits in the midrange of cost when it comes to The Macallan products.  With the extra you instantly notice a much darker golden color to it’s 10 year fine oak counterpart.  Spending it’s life in a single barrel opposed to three different barrels as the Fine Oak, this scotch brings in slightly higher alcohol content (by 3%) and a smooth sherry sweetness.

The Macallan 12 year Sherry Oak is a fantastic single malt scotch that runs at 43% alcohol and shows a well bodied splash when it hits your tongue.  The Macallan website says The Macallan 12 year Sherry oak is best enjoyed with ice, or is recommended in a few mixed coctails.
