The Macallan 15 Year Fine Oak Scotch Review

The Macallan 15 year Fine Oak is the last of our Macallan scotch flight. The Macallan 15 is by far one of the best scotches we’ve sampled typically retailing around – 0 for a 750ml. This is a scotch I recommend you add very little ice or water just to bring out the natural beautiful flavors and nothing more.

Water and ice will help bring the sting out of this 86 proof scotch however using this in a mixed cocktail is a complete waste of great scotch.

The Macallan boasts their key to amazing scotch is in the oak casks. From their website

The Macallan spends more per cask than any other distillery in sourcing, crafting, seasoning and caring for its casks.

The Macallan 15 year fine oak is an amazing single malt scotch that runs at 43% alcohol (US) and, like the 10 year, runs a little on the sharp side. With this being a 15 year and a bit more rare to come by, this is the perfect gift for a scotch lover.
