Second Fiddle Double IPA Review

This week we welcome Carlos, lead guitarist and backup vocalist for Jodie, behind the table as we sip our way through Second Fiddle from the Fiddlehead Brewing Company in Shelburne VT.

Second Fiddle is a big & juicy double IPA registering at 8.2% ABV.  This is a smooth and slightly less carbonated beer giving you a smoother mouth feel.  Although hops hit your senses with potency, it’s not as aromatic as your Heady Topper or Sip of Sunshine but don’t let that deter you from trying this delicious #DIPA.  Second Fiddle has earned a top spot in our Vermont beer run list and it should be added to yours as well.  Have you tried Second Fiddle?

From the brewer:

Matt Cohen has worked in the brewing industry for 14 years and is known industry wide as “Matty O.” He got his start in a small Vermont brew pub and eventually went on to become the head brewer of Vermont’s largest craft brewery. He’s now the head brewer and owner of the Fiddlehead Brewing Company.

Matt’s philosophy is to brew well-balanced beers. He’s been known to use interesting and exotic ingredients in an attempt to craft the perfect pint.

When he’s not brewing, creating recipes, or enjoying a beer you can find him playing disc golf, skiing, hanging out with his Golden Retriever or spending time with his family.
