How To: Replace Brake Pads and Rotors

How To Replace BrakesIn this Mandate Mondays special, we get to help Mayank and replace his worn brake pads and rotors. Watch the video to learn how you can save hundreds of dollars by replacing your own brake pads and rotors for a fraction of the cost.

Do you need to replace your brakes and rotors?  Brake pads should be replaced every 40,000 miles depending on your driving style and environment.  Your rotors should be replaced when they either warp, (feeling vibration in the steering wheel when braking) or when they have worn too thin. Because Rotors are somewhat inexpensive, it’s recommended to replace your rotors, or have your old ones inspected and resurfaced by a trained mechanic.
