Clase Azul Reposado Tequila Review

We’re very excited to welcome back Jason’s brother Vin to the show to teach us about tequila. This episode we sample the Clase Azul Reposado which is hands down the best tequila either of us have sampled on and off the show.

The Clase Azul Reposado is made from 100% blue agave and is amazingly smooth tequila. The Blue Agaves used in the tequila have been aged for nine years before being hand selected. The plants are slow cooked for 72 hours in stone ovens before they are distilled. Finally the tequila is aged for eight months in oak barrels to bring out the colors and whiskey influence.

The bottles are now just recently available in the north easter quadrant (Everett apparently) as of a few years ago. Jason first stumbled onto this in the Duty Free area coming back from a vacation to Mexico. Just another reason not to just pass the duty free shop.

The tequila clocks in at 40% ABV and is presented in a hand made ceramic bottle. Each bottle is hand painted making each one unique and it’s recommended to reuse the bottle as a vase when you sadly finish the amazing juices in that container.

Each bottle roughly goes for $90 to $100 and is well worth trying especially if you see it while you’re out. You will not regret this!
